Bill Marlowe is my Father, he lost his battle with Lung Cancer November 5, 1995. Bill was a welder in the oilfield, he threw darts here locally and had many friends.
He was a great Papa to all of his grandkids. He was liked and loved by all he knew him.
He is also one of the reasons I started Gammy & Papa's Helping Hands. He received his treatment here in Midland. It was Allison Cancer Center at that time.

How We're Helping
Dottie Marlowe is my Mother, who passed away on April 5, 2011. Dottie was a Stroke patient and had been attending the Aphasia Center here in Midland. She loved everyone there that helped her.
She was great Grandma to all of her grandkids. Her favorite thing to watch on TV was Survivor.
She is the reason we began delivering bags to the Aphasia Center here in Midland. I know what they meant to her and how they helped her over the years.
We are a nonprofit organization focused on helping children and adult cancer and stroke patients suffering at the holidays. We provide gift bags for these patients. With the help of our tireless volunteers, we are beginning to organize fundraisers. We will inspire these individuals to realize people care and they are not in this alone.

Sandy Gilson
Sandy Gilson, she lost battle with Breast Cancer November 3, 2009. Sandy is my sister and she is one of the reasons I began helping an organization called CanSurvive in Birmingham, Alabama.
She was a very funny and caring person. She went to the beach, with me and our other sister in June of 2009 and we all had a great time. It was hard to see how fast things changed that year.
Now that we are back in Midland, Texas we began Gammy & Papa's Helping Hands and we deliver our bags to Texas Oncology where Sandy received treatment.
